Dark Soy Sauce (1l)
A staple in Asian cuisine, dark soy sauce is thicker and slightly less saltier than light soy sauce. Although dark soy contains more salt than regular soy, the soy flavour itself is a lot more heavier which over powers the saltiness in it. It's similar in colour to light soy but well... just a bit darker. Here's a couple of ways you can use dark soy sauce in your next meal:
- Use it to get that dark amber glow and soy flavour on your braised meat dishes.
- Add a tea spoon into cooked rice with scallions and egg to add flavour and colour to your dish.
* Remember when adding dark soy to dishes you don't need a lot so add in small amounts and taste as you go. *
